I gotta fever… i need more cowbell!
Not yet–it’s the power surge that is the problem with refrigerant devices. It can run on a generator, but that defeats the purpose. So we will use it on the grid and wait for the next-gen refrigerant devices.
could you power your air2water off the solar panels
It is, it’s a dehumidifier with the water filtration combined. If it could run on DC that would be even better, but alas, it is really just a small refrigeration unit.
cool, is that the unit that takes the moisture out of the air, and filters it so you can drink it??
We thought about that and invested in a large air2water unit. We are getting more water than we need out of it and my husband set it up to bypass the plumbing for the toilet and the kitchen sink. We’d probably need a pump to and a tank to make it work for showers and laundry.
watch out for T Boone Pickins…he’s coming for your water…don’t be fooled by his wind power nonsense….he’s after that Aquifer!!!!
dude whatch out for the 2012! hope that house have a good fundation
Are we sure Cody isn’t a long-lost baldwin brother?
I’m in Missouri and it’s still pretty much anything goes when it comes to setting up your homestead. We have all the water, well most of it, and there are a lot of cattle to rustle if necessary. Jest kidding! I’m going the vegetarian route and have a spring, spring house, a deep root cellar, an indoor and outdoor garden. We have solar power, but need more panels. Why can’t all buildings be off-grid designed in the US? Surely we are capable of this in the US.
this video needs more cowbell.
why does cody wear short shorts!? hahaha i guess its just his thing
Cody Lundin has a great book called 98.6 degrees the art of keeping our ass alive. I highly reccomend. you rock cody!!!!
not just the UK brother. This would be hard to do in many parts of the US too. The southwest US has more relaxed building codes, but Oregon, CA Washington and many others have really strict ones. Missouri doesn’t have any, go figure.
That is a sweet house. Seriously.
Your home Cody is truely remarkable. Unfortunately It would be really difficult to get permission to build something like that in the UK.
Sometimes this country sucks, but its still a beautiful country.
