Why would anyone want to pay twenty more dollars for a CD than they would normally pay only to get an acoustic version of the worst song on it? I have no idea. If you like Sunny Day Real Estate, then you should get The Rising Tide, just not this rip-off version of it!

  2. The best all around album I’ve ever heard! I loved “Diary” but find myself listening to this more!

for fans of classic sunny day real estate searching for another compilation of songs that could be on diary or ep2 forget about this album. If you’re looking to see what happens when that same band matures musically then look no further.
yes it’s prog rockish, yes it sounds nothing like they’re old albums, but the songs are so well orchestrated you probably won’t care.
It’s abrasive and ambient at the same time, almost as if the guitarist were putting a post emo twist on “the edge” of u2. And the drums are superb as the drummer shows that he is amazing technically, but doesn’t need to hit the drums a million different times to show it and instead opts to drive the music.
and jeremy enigks falsetto vocals are still just as catchy as they ever were.
    it’s just freaking awesome
