This painting was donated to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens by the relatives of the late Elizabeth Jordan. Elizabeth Jordan was a resident Yelapa for 30 years and recently passed away on January 18. The painting of yarn that was donated to the Botanic Garden was established in 1984 and represents all the common themes of the paintings of the Huichol like birds, sun, earth, rain, fire, corn, deer and peyote. These issues, ultimately, symbolize the beginning of a new life and meaning of life, universally. This beautiful painting is exhibited in Vallarta Botanical Gardens and must see to really appreciate its true meaning.
