mortgage refinancing guy does not call me back after the adoption of me?

I have a first Countrywide mtge and after I took refi bazillionth offer up on it. I spoke with a friend at his office in Richardson TX who took all my details and sent me by fax to all income and insurance docs. He calls back later that ngiht tell me I am approved for a large package, but have to put a levy of $ 300 my credit card for the appraisal. It sounded strange, but hey no problem. Now it has been over a week and I have not heard of him or a valuer. Wake-up call Countrywide customer, my account record shows that I'm working with him, but apparently has not moved forward all my stuff. Cust svc mgr lady had to call his mgr and told me I should know or mgr refi rate on Monday. I'm pissed off - my ARM goes up in April and want this to be done befor then. Could you say no to this? Y this type would give her a chance to wrap my business or insist on another person?
